18 Aug 2026 Professional Development Course for Land Acquisition Assessors (Pengapit Hakim): Understanding Judicial Valuation Competency under the Land Acquisition Act 1960 Building upon the foundation established in the earlier Land Acquisition CPD programme on objection and court reference proceedings, this advanced session focuses on the specialised role of the Assessor (Pengapit Hakim) in assisting the Court to determine fair compensation under the Land Acquisition Act 1960. The programme examines the judicial valuation competencies required of assessors, combining legal understanding, valuation expertise, evidential analysis, and structured reasoning in compensation proceedings.
Participants will gain a deeper appreciation of the assessor's role within the judicial process, including the interpretation of compensation principles under the First Schedule, critical evaluation of valuation evidence, analysis of acquisition documents, and assessment of expert testimony. The course also explores practical challenges commonly encountered during hearings, interactions with legal practitioners and expert witnesses, ethical considerations, and the application of professional judgement in complex acquisition cases. Through practical discussion and case-based analysis, participants will develop the competencies necessary to perform effectively, independently, and objectively when appointed to assist the Court in land acquisition matters. 19 Aug 2026 Developer Sales Legal Essentials: Understanding HDA, Schedule G & Schedule H for Real Estate Professionals This CPD course is designed to provide real estate professionals with practical legal awareness on developer project sales under the Housing Development Act, with specific focus on Schedule G and Schedule H Sale and Purchase Agreements, progressive payment structure, vacant possession timeline, LAD, buyer protection, and the legal boundaries of agents when communicating with purchasers.Participants will be guided through the key differences between subsale and developer sales, the purpose of the Housing Development Act in protecting purchasers, the difference between Schedule G for landed properties and Schedule H for strata properties, and the legal and practical implications that real estate professionals should understand when handling developer project transactions.The course also aims to help agents avoid common communication risks, including overpromising, misrepresenting developer obligations, giving legal advice, or making verbal commitments beyond the approved SPA terms. Participants will explore how geospatial intelligence enhances valuation practice by supporting pre-inspection planning, site assessment, comparable analysis, and evidence-based report preparation. The course also demonstrates practical applications of the new geospatial layers, highlights professional considerations when using map and imagery data alongside physical inspections, and provides a preview of upcoming geospatial modules that will further strengthen valuation workflows. 8 Sept 2026 ESG Readiness for Real Estate Practice ESG Readiness for Real Estate Practice is a facilitator-led physical training programme designed to help real estate professionals understand how ESG is beginning to influence property decisions, client conversations and day-to-day business practice. The programme introduces ESG in practical real estate language, covering Malaysia's ESG drivers, common environmental, social and governance issues across property types, and practical questions to ask during inspection, listing, leasing and client engagement. Participants will work through local real estate examples, property issue mapping, client conversation scenarios and responsible ESG communication. They will learn to identify relevant ESG-related property information, communicate property features responsibly without unsupported green claims, and use a basic property fact-finding checklist and 30-day action plan in their own practice.
